HAPPY NEW YEAR

I don't have much to recap since I only started this blog a few shorts months ago, but I will say I am soooooo happy I started it.   I have meet some wonderful bloggers and been able to rekindle my love for fashion!!  I do want to say THANK GOD for keeping me and my family/loved ones through 2011, He is truly an AWESOME and LOVING FATHER.

Now I don't really have resolutions I'm just going to continue to live my life in a positive way hoping that I can help/reach someone along the way!!  I  believe that 2012 will be a GREATER/BETTER year than 2011, I have faith in God that it will be!!   I'm looking forward to all the AWESOME things God has in store for me and my family/loved ones!!!

So HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone, be safe as you go out tonight and I pray God's richest blessings on you and yours for 2012!!!

My Christmas.........

Happy Thursday everyone!! I hope EVERYONE had a wonderful and blessed Christmas!!    I'm still vacationing and I am loving it!!  I have four more days off work then back to the grind on Jan. 4th  I say this aaaallllll the time I am grateful and thankful for a job would not want to be without one, but I love when I get time off!!  Spending time with my little man has been great and just being able lounge or go hang out with my sisters and mom w/kids whenever I want has been so much fun and relaxing!!


ANYWHO!!  I am not going to make this a long post, at least not with words!  I just wanted to share pictures from Christmas.  I didn't take as many as I would've liked, but I got a few and I can finally show you all my finished tree!!! LOL   I actually kept making changes to it up until a couple of days before Christmas, but it turned out really nice.  I still wanted to add more but I stopped myself!! :-)

 The Birth of Jesus

Luke 2:1-21

 ¹ In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. ² (This was the first census that took place while^[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) ³ And everyone went to their own town to register.
 ⁴ So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. ⁵ He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. ⁶ While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, ⁷ and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
 ⁸ And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. ⁹ An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. ¹⁰ But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. ¹¹ Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. ¹² This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
 ¹³ Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
 ¹⁴ “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
   and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
 ¹⁵ When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
 ¹⁶ So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. ¹⁷ When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, ¹⁸ and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. ¹⁹ But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. ²⁰ The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
 ²¹ On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.



THANK YOU GOD FOR THE MOST PRECIOUS GIFT WE COULD EVER RECEIVE!!

Inspirational Moment: No Need For Jealousy

Have you ever looked at your life and then looked at the life of someone else and thought why can't I be blessed like that? I work just as hard, I'm just as good of a person but I never seem to get the things I pray, wish or hope for. It's like everyone is getting ahead but you and you believe you are doing everything right. You don't want to be bitter and unhappy when others (especially those close to you) get blessed or have good fortune but it can be hard.

You get frustrated, you may want to give up and decide you are through trying. Trust me I have been there and I understand but there is hope you have to keep believing that.  Don't lose sight of your goals, your promises from God or whatever you want to call them, just keep pushing forward and believing that your time will come. I would rather have hope and faith to believe something better is coming than to be jealous and bitter of someone else and not believe and be miserable. So the next time you see someone else getting blessed or having good fortune, rejoice with them because you know YOURS is coming TOO!!

This Is The Remix: Blogger Style Re-Creation

Hey, hey, hey (in my Dwayne voice), how is everyone?!?!  Hope your weekend has been great and not too busy!!  Well I'm here with a new edition of Blogger Style Re-Creation.  I really like doing these post because I follow some very stylish bloggers and they wear alot of great outfits that are unique to them and their personal style. And trying to re-create these outfits and stay true to the the outfit while adding a little twist can be fun yet challenging!

With this edition I am featuring Tanya of Major Must Haves.  If you have never, ever been to her sight you really need to go.  She's  not only beautiful and has great style, but she gives some great advice and words of wisdom as well and like alot of the other bloggers I follow she is very nice and down to earth.  Now I would say her style is classic, girlie, chic and of course being a girlie girl I love that.  So after this post do yourself a favor and go check out her awesome blog you will love it!!

Now on to the outfit.  I picked this outfit because it's very girlie but with the leather cropped jacket and the leather buckled ankle booties it gives it that edge.  It's the prefect mixture of good girl/bad girl like a Rebel Flower!!  I love her accessories, the studded black belt adds to the edge and that leopard clutch is a great addition to the entire outfit!!  Don't you just love this outfit!!

I NEED YOUR HELP: Blogger Commenting System

HELLO ALL!!  I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!!  Mine was pretty good, tried to do some much needed Christmas shopping but where I went had NOTHING I wanted to buy. OH WELL will try again this weekend!   I have only this one weekend left before Christmas anyway so I have to do it this weekend.  Or either next week while I am off work.  Which might work out better, the crowds may not be too heavy during the early morning hours during the work week!!  I have a back up plan though, if I don't find what I'm looking for or thinking I want to get, I'm going to give gifts cards.  Yeah it might not be as personal as picking out something you know the person would want, but it is less of a headache.  Plus you know they can get what they really want with a gift card from one of their favorite stores!! ;-)

ANYWHO, on to the reason for this post!

If you have followed my post you know that I am SERIOUS music lover.  My musical taste is very very eclectic so what I listen to varies on any given day.  When I heard this song by Mateo feat. Goapele and Ab Liva a while back I had to share it.   If it wasn't for my love of music in general, XM radio (a must in the car) Youtube and great sites like Soulbounce and Singersroom I wouldn't know about alot of great music.  There are sooooooo many awesomely, talented artist out there that haven't made it mainstream that people need to hear.  So check out the video I'm sure you're gonna like it!!!

It's Beginning To Look Alot Like Christmas - Outfit of The Day

Hello, Hello!!  I just wanted to do this quick little post.  While in the process of decorating the Christmas tree last night I thought I would take pictures of it. I'm no where near finished, we need to buy more decorations.  The colors aren't your typical Christmas colors, I mean the greens and reds are nice but I like to go with non traditional colors.   I like the tree to be chic too!!! LOL

When it's all finished I will post pictures of it but I just thought I would share the WIP (work in progress)
