The Other Part of Me: Sweet Tooth Desserts

I'm not sure how many of you know that follow but I have another blog that showcases my dessert/baking business Sweet Tooth Desserts.  I have had a love for baking since forever and at one point when I was a teen used to sale cakes and pies during the holiday's.  I stopped once I got a "real" job, but still loved to bake.  I always wanted to own my own business, but at first wanted a clothing boutique. However, when I started getting request again from a few people to start making cakes, cupcakes etc.. for them I thought why not start a baking business.   So almost 2 years ago I started my business and I love every minute of it.  It can be a task, but I really like being creative and seeing what designs I can come up with.  I haven't had orders that really push my creativity like I want, but I do when I can practice to see what I can do.

I have never taken baking/decorating classes so I learn as I go, youtube is my best friend.  I do at some point want to take some classes to help enhance what I already know how to do.  My dream is to go to Le Cordon Bleu, I really want to really learn how to create edible art.  Going would take sacrifice though because of course the classes aren't online so I'd have to be in class.  Which wouldn't be 100% bad except for the fact that classes are 5 days a week for 18-24 month straight, no breaks, holiday's nothing.  I work full time so I can't go during the day, I would have to go in the evening and that class is from 7p to 11p which wouldn't work for me.  I'm a single mom and with my son still being young I would hardly see him and that right now I don't want to sacrifice that.  One day I will able but right now I will find weekend classes or keep watching youtube!! :-)

ANYWHO, enough about that. I am right now a home-based business here in Atlanta and I service the metro area (sometimes beyond). My goal is to make it a full time business and own my own shop one day soon. Of course I can't ship cakes or cupcakes, but some of the things I make can be shipped.  Everything is made from scratch, most of the decorations are handmade.  Orders can be sugar-free, low-fat, vegan or gluten free.

Below you can check out pictures of some of my work, you can go to the links at the end to see more. For my contact and ordering information email me at sweets4yourtooth@gmail.com
