The Men In My Life and A BIG ANNOUCEMENT

I don't really talk about me personal, personal life much, there is no real reason for it I just haven't.  However, I decided to introduce you to the 2 of the wonderful men in my life.  You have seen and read about my angel my son KJ, but you haven't meet "The Mister".  We have been together for a little over 8 years, my sisters husband set is up.  My sisters husband and "The Mister" Keith played softball together and he said one day when I came out to the park with my sister to see them play he saw me and knew he had to meet me.  So one day my brother-in-law decides to set is up on a blind date.

The day we went to the park to see them I didn't remember anyone in particular so when he was telling me about Keith I had no clue as to who he was.  But I agreed to go out with him, we had a really great time and as they say the rest is history, LOL!!    Yes 8 years is a long time to be with someone and not married, but that is the way things have worked out for us.   I will say this no matter what we have gone through and in 8 years we have been through somethings (won't go into all of that) but I know without a doubt he loves me and our son and does everything he can do to make sure we know that.

 Here is a old picture of us.  This was taken a month after we started dating years ago in Myrtle Beach for bike week.   OMG see how small I was, yeah a sista trying to get back there, LOL!!  Then my hair is shorter, I had my wash and go going on here.  After being at the beach all that time my cute do was gone!!  I'm trying to not cut my hair again, but I am sooooo itching to do so.

 I have only been in a few relationships (can count on 1 hand) and I was known to drop a dude like a bad habit, my brother-in-law told Keith that and he told me that that was what he heard. LOL   I wasn't the kind to play around in or with my relationships, if I wasn't happy I was GONE!! I didn't need or care for your explanation, I mean that is how it should be right?!?!  If you're not happy then move on.....

 After about a year of being together we had our son, so it went from just the 2 of us to the 3 of us. This was taken some years back in Destin Fl. My little man was so young, sigh I miss those days sometime!!

 A picture taken at my house a couple of Sunday's ago.  He had come to chill with us and cook dinner.  Out of all the years we had been together he never cooked.  Shot when I first meet him he couldn't or at least he didn't cook.  So after years of telling me he could and wanted to cook for us, I prayed and asked God to keep us while he cooked, LOL!!  He did good, so I guess I will let me him cook for us more often!! ;-)



Ok now on to my BIG ANNOUCEMENT.........................................DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!

I AM GETTING MARRIED!!!!!

If you follow me on Instagram/Followgram then I posted about this, so some already know.   I am so EXCITED!!!  Yeah after 8 years it's about time right, LOL!!   No we actually were engaged once before but I called it off (again won't go into that) I told you we had been through somethings. We parted ways and we remained friendly and cordial because we had a son together. A year or so went by and we realized that we really loved each other and really wanted to be a family. So after dating again (yes we started over) he asked again and I said yes.

 We knew that if we got past dating and seeing where things would go we knew what the next step would be..  Plus this time, it's different, there has been so much change in us both that it feels so right this time around and we are truly HAPPY!!  We have no plans to be engaged for a year or even 6 months, like I said we knew what the next step would be if we ever got back to this point.  We plan to have a ceremony, but it will be small, intimate with really close family and friends in my parents beautiful back yard.  So it won't take a great deal of planning, it's going to be simple, beautiful and reflect us!!

Shoot me and one of my other sisters is helping our sister plan her wedding almost 200 people, big wedding party and with the stress from that made me realize I don't need or want a big wedding.  I think I would pull my hair out if I tried to plan a big wedding.  I want our day to be beautiful, the focus to be us two and our love being shared with those we hold  near and dear to us!!  I dreamed when I was young of  having a BIG grand affair, with the ball gown like dress, big wedding party, lots of guest, but now I don't want that.  Even if we didn't plan to get married until a year from now I still want it to be small and in my parents backyard.  I always said when my parents got their house that I wanted to get married there and that is what I am going to do.  I already have ideas of the theme (if you want to call it) that I want.......I will share more about some of the details of the wedding later!!  But yup YOUR GURL IS GETTING MARRIED!!!! :-D YAAAAAAY ME!!
